Updated
On: Jun 03, 2008 (13:25:00)
On Wednesday, April 23, 2008, a hearing was held at the Yalesville Elementary School in Wallingford.
This hearing was sponsored by UE222, CILU 75 Wallingford Paraprofessionals and other groups, to highlight the need for health care coverage for the paraeducators.
The hearing was well done, well attended and very informative. Read the coverage from the New Haven Register, and download the UE222, CILU/CIPU lastest newsletter.
Update! The momentum continues:

Mouseland ...
Updated
On: Mar 13, 2008 (11:35:00)
As Election Day draws near, most working people struggle to decide which candidates will get their vote. Which of them really supports the issues that are important to workers and their families ? Which will promote and protect workers' rights ? Well, maybe none of them really do in the long term ... Why don't we start putting the workers themselves into political office ?
Canadian and New Democrat Tommy Douglas explained it in a story he called "Mouseland", and the lesson is just as important today to all working Americans. If you aren't a wealthy fat cat, it's definitely worth watching and passing along to your friends, family and co-workers as we all think about those we put into power.
Appreciation to the New Democrat Party and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union for making this video available.
